Just a few more days on view! The Daily Painting Exhibition @thehalleapex (100 daily paintings by 25 artists) until November 14. AND, come and sketch! I set up 6 still lifes (with patterns!) for anybody to sketch or take photos and sketch at home! They'll be there also until Thursday, November 14 ( SAT 9 to 1, M-F 9 to 6)

What I wrote on the reel 👆🏼 are the main reasons why I decided to create a planner specifically for painters ❤️. Planning on weekends, writing down what I'll paint the following week, and getting ready for it helped me form and keep the habit of daily painting. Starting the week knowing exactly what I'll be painting and when I'll be painting makes it easier to start painting, and also it helps me protect that time from any other request that comes my way. Also,I realized that painting in series also helps me A LOT! I don't have to come up with painting ideas every single day. That's why I added a monthly theme in The Happy Habit Planner!

To be able to paint daily(ish) I need to plan it,

To be able to paint daily(ish) I need to plan it, to schedule it! As a great friend told me years ago, if it is not written it doesn't exist ☺️. So, this is what I do on Sundays, I plan what I'm going to paint. During the school year I know when and where I'll paint (right after breakfast...that's my Happy Habit!), but when the routine changes (vacations , etc) I need to choose when I'll paint and block the time. What I ALWAYS do is to plan and write WHAT I'll paint, so when Monday comes I'm ready to paint, and not lose a day (or more) deciding. So if I choose to paint Dahlias I use my weekend to shop for dahlias or look at my photos and create an album of all the photos of dahlias I have, and pick and crop 5 to paint!
For me scheduling, writing down my painting plan, was a game changer (and having my own painting space), and that's why I created the Happy Habits Planner! It sold out last year, so I just placed an order to print 50 more. As soon as it is available on my website I'll let you know!

I have 2 paintings available at The Daily Painting

I have 2 paintings available at The Daily Painting Exhibition @thehalleapex . The theme for this show is patterns, and at first I thought I'd paint my 4 paintings in the show inspired by the pillow pattern, but then I noticed the light patterns coming through the blinds...and that totally hooked me 😄! They are $150 each just for this show. They are 8x8" acrylics on masonite panels (unframed). DM me if you are interested. I can ship or give them to you after the show ends (November 14).
And if you want to see the show in person...you still have chance! The show is on view until November 14!! There are 100 paintings by 25 artists❤️
